Refund Policy

All Sales Are Final
Afolkstories is a digital streaming platform. Because content is delivered immediately upon purchase and access cannot be revoked, all sales are final and non-refundable. This applies to:
- Single episode purchases ($2.99)
- Episode bundle purchases ($12.99)
- Monthly subscriptions ($7.99/month)
- Three-month subscriptions ($19.99/3 months)
- Any future products or subscription tiers
Why No Refunds?
When you purchase digital content, you receive immediate access to streaming. The content has been “delivered” the moment your payment processes. This is industry-standard practice for digital content platforms (similar to Apple, Google Play, Amazon Kindle, and others).
We keep our prices low ($2.99 per episode, $7.99 per month) by not building refund handling into our cost structure. This allows us to invest more in the quality of the animation and storytelling you came here for.
Subscription Cancellation
While we do not refund subscription payments, you can cancel anytime to prevent future charges. When you cancel:
- Your access continues through the end of your current billing period
- You are not charged again
- You will not receive a refund for the current period
- You can resubscribe at any time
To cancel, log in to your account, go to your account settings, and click “Cancel subscription.” You can also email us at info@afolktale.net and we will cancel within one business day.
Exceptions
We may, at our sole discretion, issue a refund in cases of:
- Duplicate charges caused by a billing system error on our side
- Fraudulent activity where your card was used without your authorization
- Service unavailability if we fail to deliver the streaming service for an extended period due to our own technical issues
- Where required by your local consumer protection laws
For all refund requests, contact info@afolktale.net with your purchase confirmation and the reason for your request. We aim to respond within three business days.
Chargebacks
If you dispute a charge through your bank or credit card company without first contacting us, we may suspend your account pending investigation. We recommend contacting us first at info@afolktale.net before disputing a charge — we are usually able to resolve issues quickly.
