1. Agreement

By accessing or using Afolkstories at afolktale.net (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. The Service is operated by Afolktale Studios, a creative venture of Novachi Group LLC (“we,” “our,” “us”).

If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and make purchases. By creating an account, you represent that you are an adult and that the information you provide is accurate.

You may create profiles for children within your parent account. You are responsible for all activity under your account, including activity by children using profiles you create.

You are responsible for keeping your password secure. Notify us immediately at info@afolktale.net if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Content License

When you purchase episodes or subscribe, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to stream the purchased content for personal, non-commercial use within your household. This license:

Allows streaming on personal devices owned or controlled by you
Does not allow downloading, copying, or redistributing content
Does not allow public performance or display
Does not transfer any ownership of the content to you
May be terminated if you violate these terms

All content remains the property of Afolktale Studios and its licensors. The Chronicles of Ijapa series, character designs, animations, music, and original artwork are protected by copyright.

4. Purchases and Subscriptions

We offer one-time purchases (single episodes, episode bundles) and recurring subscriptions (monthly, three-month). All payments are processed in U.S. dollars by Stripe.

One-time purchases grant lifetime streaming access to the specific content purchased. They are charged once and do not auto-renew.

Subscriptions provide unlimited streaming access for the billing period. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

Prices are subject to change. We will notify subscribers in advance of any price increases.

5. Refunds

All sales are final. We do not provide refunds for digital content because the content is delivered immediately upon purchase and access cannot be revoked. For details, see our Refund Policy.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Share, sell, or transfer your account or login credentials
Download, record, or capture streaming content
Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
Use the Service for commercial purposes without authorization
Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service
Bypass any security or access restrictions
Submit false information or impersonate others
Interfere with the Service or other users' access

Violation may result in account suspension or termination without refund.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant uninterrupted access or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time with reasonable notice.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Afolktale Studios and Novachi Group LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months prior to the claim.

9. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time. We may terminate accounts for violations of these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Subscription fees already paid are non-refundable.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or posted notice. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts of Forsyth County, Georgia, except where local consumer protection laws give you broader rights.
